Thank you for your time today Trae. We are loving your music. Introduce yourselves and tell us a little about who you are and where you are from.
Hey I’m Trae Taylor and I’m from a little town just outside of Richmond, Virginia. I am a soldier in the United States Army and I have a huge passion for writing and performing music. It has always been that way since I was a little kid.
How would you say where you grew up and where you are from has influenced your music?
Well I come from a musical family. My grandfather was a singer in Korea while stationed there with the Army and my Uncle spent time as a song writer and went to school for music production. All of these things helped influence me to try out a career in music.
Do you play any instruments? Tell us more about that, how did you learn and when did you start?
I can play a little piano, violin and I’m currently learning the guitar. My mom enrolled me in violin in around the sixth grade!
What is the best career advice you have been given? Would you share it with us?
The best advice I’ve been given is that it doesn’t happen overnight; sometimes you have to take the stairs! Stay focused, make good music, and an opportunity will present itself!
What goals do you have as an artist for the rest of 2022?
I would love to have another solid release with “I give you take” coming out on December 2nd and just continue to be able to connect with new fans!
